Lau Moraiti is a Latina children's book author and illustrator from Uruguay.

Lau's been a graphic designer for a number of years and started her illustration journey in 2017, a year after having her son. Her favorite tools to illustrate with are watercolors and colored pencils because they build life into the characters and their universe and her digital illustrations carry that same love for brushstrokes and handmade textures. 

She specializes in illustrated books for kids - including early reader graphic novels, bilingual board books, picture books and more. 

Lau has worked with diverse companies like Paw Prints Publishing, In KidZ, New York Edge and Magical Corazón Books.
